Frequently Asked Questions

Junior Tennis Pro is a private iOS training journal for junior tennis players. Below are plain-English answers to the questions parents and players ask most.

What is Junior Tennis Pro?

Junior Tennis Pro is a private training journal for junior tennis players. It is an iPhone and iPad app that makes it quick to log matches and practice, jot down what to work on, and reflect on the mental side of the game. Everything is written and stored on the device, like a paper notebook that lives in your pocket.

Who is Junior Tennis Pro for?

It is designed for junior competitive tennis players, and for the parents and coaches who support them. Players do the logging themselves, and a parent or coach can sit alongside them for a weekly review. It is not a coaching program, just a simple place to record and reflect.

What age group is Junior Tennis Pro designed for?

Junior Tennis Pro is built for players roughly aged 8 to 18. Younger players may want a parent to help set things up and review entries together; older players can run it on their own.

Does Junior Tennis Pro work offline?

Yes. The app is designed to work offline, so a player can log an entry courtside without a signal. There is no cloud sync, so nothing needs to be uploaded for the app to work.

Does Junior Tennis Pro collect my child's data?

No. The app does not collect your child's data. There are no accounts, no analytics inside the app, and no advertising trackers. Entries are stored locally on the device. (Note: this website, which is separate from the app, uses basic anonymous analytics and an optional email sign-up. See our privacy policy for details.)

Does my child need an account?

No account is required. There is no sign-up, no email, and no password. Your child simply opens the app and starts logging.

What can players log after a match?

After a match a player can record the result, the surface, how much effort they gave, what went well tactically, how they handled pressure moments, and a short reflection while it is still fresh. They can also set one specific thing to work on at the next practice.

What can players log after practice?

After practice a player can note what they focused on, whether a technique or a drill, how the session went, roughly how long they trained, and one goal to carry into the next session. It is designed to take under a minute.

How does journaling help junior tennis players improve?

Writing things down can help players notice patterns they would otherwise forget, like a serve that dips under pressure, or nerves that show up on break points. Reflecting on how they played, not just who won, is designed to help young players focus on the parts of their game they can actually control.

Can parents or coaches use the app with a player?

Yes. Many families use it together. A parent or coach can sit down with the player for a weekly review, look over the entries and trends on the dashboard, and talk through what to focus on next. The player stays in charge of what they write.

Is Junior Tennis Pro available on Android?

Not at this stage. Junior Tennis Pro is being built for iPhone and iPad first. We do not have an Android version to announce.

When will Junior Tennis Pro be available?

Junior Tennis Pro is coming soon to the App Store. We do not have a public release date to share yet. If you would like a heads-up when it launches, you can join the notify list on our homepage.
